Sustainability - Our Priority

At Wild Mary Gold, we are committed to making sustainability a major priority in everything we do. We believe that by prioritizing sustainability, we can make a positive impact on the environment and contribute to a more ethical and responsible fashion industry.

By focusing on sustainable printing processes, ethical manufacturing, and responsible fabric sourcing, we strive to create products that are not only beautiful but also environmentally conscious. We believe that fashion can be both stylish and sustainable, and we are committed to leading the way towards a more sustainable future.

Our Manufacturing

A key aspect of our commitment to sustainability is our manufacturing process. We partner with a reputable production house that shares our values and principles. This production house pays above minimum wage and does not employ any child labor. By working with ethical manufacturers, we ensure that our products are made with integrity and respect for human rights.

Our Fabrics

When it comes to our fabrics, we take great care in sourcing them responsibly. We believe that every creature has the right to life, which is why we prioritize cruelty-free options. We source fabrics such as wild silk and peace silk, which allow the silk worms to live. Unlike commercial silk production, which destroys the silk worms, these alternatives ensure that the silk worms are not harmed in the process.

In addition to using cruelty-free fabrics, we also make an effort to reduce waste and minimize our environmental impact. We obtain organic materials where possible. We source Deadstock fabrics, which are leftover materials from productions or unsold stock from textile mills or apparel manufacturers. They are usually high quality materials that would otherwise end up incinerated or in landfill. By re-purposing these fabrics, we not only reduce waste but also give them a new life in our sustainable clothing. We also use Linen where possible because of it's smaller footprint on the earth.

When it comes to our Viscose, we choose Ecovero from Lenzing.

The wood, used as raw material for all LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers, is sourced from controlled or certified origins, meeting FSC® or PEFC standards. The non-profit environmental protection organization Canopy has consistently ranked Lenzing among the top viscose producers worldwide, due to its sustainable wood and pulp sourcing.

Our Printing Processes

One of the ways we prioritize sustainability is through our printing processes. We understand the importance of using inks that are free from harmful substances, which is why we exclusively use OEKO-TEX standard inks. These inks have been tested and certified to be safe for both the environment and human health. By choosing fabrics that are printed with OEKO-TEX standard inks, we can offer our customers peace of mind knowing that their clothing is free from harmful chemicals.

By making sustainability a major priority, we are able to offer our customers chic and sustainable clothing options. Our Balloon Sleeve Wrap Tops, for example, are made from luxurious and responsibly sourced Ecovero fabric. This fabric not only offers style and comfort but also reflects our commitment to environmental consciousness.

We believe that fashion can be both beautiful and responsible, and we are dedicated to making that a reality.
